Guru Poornima Lalitha Sahasranamam chanting
This month's Lalitha Sahasranamam was chanted on the auspicious Guru Poornima evening on 19th July 2016. It also marked the beginning of offering prayers through a special kolam as per the directions from Pujya Sri Akka. Several families gathered for a blissful evening of prayer and chanting.
Abhishekam for Sri Akka's paadam was done earlier in the day. With Her blessings, a picture of Devi Akhilandeshwari has been added to Prarthanai Peetam.
Attached are some photos from the event.

Special Satsang for children
A very special section for kids was hosted by Mrs. Asha Subbu who volunteers at Chinmaya Mission.
She picked select topics from our epics (Ramayana and Mahabharata) where Dharma was withheld and discussed with the kids on how they can relate to them in their lives in school, home, field etc. In addition, she related how important it is to be righteous (Dharma). It was a valuable lesson for the kids who attended today's Satsang.
