The first group Lalitha Sahasranamam chanting on a pournami evening was completed successfully today. This marks the beginning of religious activities in the newly christened "Prarthanai Peetam" in New Jersey, at the seat of Sree Akhilandeshwari Peetam that was established by Sri Amma herself in 2003.
Rudrabhishekam and archanai for Sri Amma's paadams (paada puja) was done earlier in the day, followed by sahasranamam chanting in the evening.
Since Oct 2010, group Lalitha Sahasranamam chanting was regularly done at this location on the first Friday of each month. Going forward, the group chanting will be conducted on Pournami (full moon) evenings.
